Little Lilli began with a friendship. Singer/composer Lilli Lewis and graphic designer/digital content developer Tiara Jenkins met online and became friends through their shared experience as dialysis patients. Tiara, who had lived with dialysis since childhood, became a mentor and an encouraging voice for Lilli, whose life as a working musician had changed dramatically with her diagnosis.

It was Tiara who imagined a children’s series they could create together—even from their dialysis chairs. When Tiara sent Lilli the first image of Little Lilli, a new little world began to grow that was rooted in friendship, imagination, music, and the healing power of making things together.
